but she went all hero on him and to protect him she, unfortunately had to hurt him where it MOST hurt him, HER!
THIS! She hurt the only part of him that can feel...
I think he knows deep down that he will never LOVE jordan the way he LOVES audrey, but she closed the door and refused to reopen it, so he's leaning towards what he feels is the right thing, he still wants to catch a serial killer because he is still inLOVE with audrey but he also has feelings for someone else and now he needs to realize that what he feels for Jordan is so different than what he feels for audrey,
Get out of my head! You are reading my mind.
like audrey did with chris brody, she couldn't help him be himself, i think nathan will realize he is helping Jordan be herself again just because he is immune to her trouble like audrey was immune to chris... and in the end it will bring them closer.

Basically what I think it's going to happen.

Just so you know, I love Nathan. I'm just trying to understand his actions right now...
We know you do.
The thing is I do understand his actions looking at his background and at how he has always seen himself...he is like an open book and I am loving his journey, so I wish everyone could get him as well because the pain and the heartache would be soothed .
*hugs you all*
Pauli, yes brain twins FTW!

The worst is I understand both their actions, I'm just not ok with them. The only thing that makes no sense is Audrey pushing Nathan away like that, Nathan NOT fighting hard against her stupidity, and Audrey letting Duke help her. IDGI. If she wants to push her ~loved ones~ away so they wont be hurt, then she sure ndoesn't care much about Duke...

The way I see it, she doesn't have a choice. She and Duke are supposed to kill each other. She can afford to push Nathan away, and in her eyes, he's better off with someone else to turn to after she's gone. But she can't afford to push Duke away. She has to keep him close both so Nathan won't do something he'll regret, and so that she and Duke stay on the same side and united in trying to avoid their fate. Plus, as long as she's watching Duke's every move, he can't get in trouble (haha) with the Guard or the other Troubled people.
I think she knows Duke will be sad if she disappears, but that he won't snap like Nathan might. Audrey is in ultimate pragmatist right now. Keep everybody alive, save whoever she can, and try to find out the truth.
What bothered me the most was that Nathan ignored Audrey all the time. She was bleeding and weak and he didn't seem to even notice. I don't know if he was pretending not to, but I somehow doubt it. I'm sorry about the whining, but argh, guys, why are they doing this

I also think she simply needs a friend and she sees a good one in Duke. Nathan, otoh, is the one she can't afford to break.

(I'm not sure if I should be linking stuff from my journal here? But I tend to go on at length, so I feel weird posting the whole thing here, too. Which is better? Or should I just not?

I really enjoy everything you write. Do you write fanfic?
