Okay some one gave me the push to make this thread. (Thank you Dordoris.) Here's is my theory, please bear with me I've been thinking about this for a while. What if Dave or Vince is troubled. His trouble is that he can make people forget what is happening with what he writes. That's why most of the townsfolk don't wonder about what is going on. After all how many times can the pipes below the city blow up? Or some bad meat comes into the public?

It really makes sense. I always thought they were troubled, they have to be, they are in the middle of the whole thing since Sarah.
Why do you think Vince bled when talking with Dwight in 3.01? Maybe it has something to do with Audrey's safety? I can let go of the idea that the brothers have something to do with Audrey's secret. They don't only 'know'...

I forgot about that part. Maybe Vince is tied in with Audrey/Lucy/Sarah. Maybe that is what got stolen. I still say it was their notebook, which would contain the secrets of the town. If one was troubled like I said earlier they could record what really happened in there. Just a guess of course.

What if Dave or Vince is troubled. I've assumed since "Spiral" that Vince is Troubled, or somehow special, because when Max Hansen threatens him, he says, "Don't make me do something that I really enjoy." We never find out what it is, but Max is afraid—and Max feels no pain. A friend and I were speculating about what might be going on with Vince and Dave. Here are a few things we noted: - In the pictures from the past, we only see Dave. - The money could be something that Vince and Dave got through supernatural means. For example, are they immortal in some way, or perhaps retain the memories of the whole history of the town? - Is there some power in the fact that they keep so many things secret? - Do they sometimes help Audrey and sometimes hinder her because they want to make sure the cycle continues? I get the feeling that they're genuinely fond of Audrey, but that they don't want her to get too far ahead of the curve. - Is the newspaper somehow related to their power? (We also had the idea that maybe one or both could make things come true by writing them, but that seems like it would make things too easy for them.)

- In the pictures from the past, we only see Dave. I don't know if it's true, but some months before the premiere, I read spoilers and they were talking that the chameleon would have another appearance. I immediately thought about the brothers, specially Vince. In As you were, Vince defended the chameleon and I never could understand why. Maybe Vince is a chameleon? I don't know... just wondering...

What if Dave and Vince are really Nathan and Duke? I mean after the weeping angel sends them back in time?

What if Dave and Vince are really Nathan and Duke? I mean after the weeping angel sends them back in time? This would be a real twist. Not sure I want to see it though.

I had completely forgotten that in "Business As Usual," Vince specifically says to Dave that the two of them are not Troubled. He says it when no one else is listening, so one assumes it's the truth.
Now I'm even more curious about what he was threatening when he told Max not to force him to do "something he'd really enjoy."
Also in that scene at the end of "Business As Usual," Vince says that Dave is deliberately trying to fan the flames of the different factions (You're trying to start a war) and that he (Vince) won't be a party to it.
Curiouser and curiouser.

Had the thought tonight when Vince was talking to Audrey that it's possible Lucy actually asked him and/or Dave not to tell Audrey the truth. If Lucy knew the truth for months, and it didn't help her (and maybe cost James his life) then maybe she thought it was better not to know. Maybe she thought Audrey was better off simply fulfilling her role instead of trying to break the cycle.
Interesting that Vince and Dave talked about "taking turns" killing people. And Vince saw the barn, but Audrey didn't! The Teagues may not be Troubled, but they're definitely something out of the ordinary.

I don't know if I care are they troubled or not, I just know they're pissing me of a little bit. They know the hole story and they should be helping Audrey with all that thing with the CK & Sarah/Lucy, but instead they are under the veil of secrecy and mystery. And they don't do the talk, just whispering with each other.

I don't know if I care are they troubled or not, I just know they're pissing me of a little bit. I have to admit I felt for them this week, getting tortured by the BGK. I'm kind of hoping it turns out that Lucy asked them to keep their counsel close to the vest. It seems as though the show is giving us some insight into Sarah this year, but I have to admit I'm starting to really feel for Lucy. It seems as though she came closer than ever to figuring out the curse, but she ended up losing James and failing to change anything. I wonder what her relationship to the Teagues was.

I feel like Lucy was the most disconnected and serious of the 3, as if she was more business than anything else. Maybe because we haven't seen much of her and how her relationship with the people from Haven was. With Sarah and Audrey I feel like they actually had a job and a connection and thoughts of settling down there.
