Anyhow, what I'm getting at here is that I am way more supportive of a Nathan/Jordan pairing than a Audrey/Duke one because Nathan's never done anything but love and adore Audrey until she told him to stop I'll preface this by saying I was a Nathan girl first, even though I love both Audrey and Duke—I worry about Nathan the most, too. Here's my question, though. I keep seeing people saying that if Duke and Audrey actually get together, it will ruin the show for them. And I'm curious, would you think about it any differently if Nathan gets together with Jordan first? Like, what if he starts a relationship with Jordan and Audrey knows about it? Let's say Nathan comes to Audrey as a friend and says, look, I met this girl... Would it then make you feel differently about Audrey and Duke? Or would that still ruin the show for you?

I can't say it will ruin the show for me-not sure how i will feel till i see it, Jordan/Nathan included. I suspect I will hate it though--because i sympathize with Nathan a ridiculous amount. Cause he's the best lol.

Hello everyone haven't been around for a while soo im trying to catch up, I saw the interview Emily and Eric had at the nycc and to be honest i think if the writers did decide to have Audrey and Duke together this season it would be totally off putting for me, I love their friendship but thats it, i just don't see them going anywhere else, I am a hardcore naudrey shipper but the fact that Audrey and duke could have something ruins everything i love about the show, how the characters complement each other and stuff, I am bracing myself for the Jordan/nathan moments to come, but to be honest I see that relationship as an outlet for nathan, he's frustrated because audrey wont tell him anything and he is hurt, so he seeks comfort in someone he has things in common with, but he is actually in love with Audrey so he is only fooling himself, but im actually excited to see how this plays out because i want to see jealous!audrey, i'll probably defend everything nathan does too because hisfacethough is just amazing, but ultimately i think there is no way around the fact that nathan and audrey are endgame and duke will be a best man at the wedding lol

[if he starts a relationship with Jordan and Audrey knows about it? Let's say Nathan comes to Audrey as a friend and says, look, I met this girl... Would it then make you feel differently about Audrey and Duke? Or would that still ruin the show for you? No romantic pairing is going to ruin the show for me personally, although some would be difficult to watch. I guess for me, both Audrey/Nathan and Audrey/Duke are already ruined. If she were to end up with one or the other, I don't think the rejected party would ever be completely out of the picture. Personally, I'd like a better romantic outcome for Nathan specifically (because I lurve him) but for Duke as well...for them to be with someone who was not/never interested in their frenemy. So Nathan totally has my blessing to get it on with Jordan. Audrey rejected him so she really has no moral high ground to stand on here. Plus, I really want to watch him make out with people on my television. I must be some kind of pervert or something...

It definitely isn't Audrey's fault- you can't help who you're attracted to for the most part- but she has never handled the obvious attraction the 2 guys have felt for her very well in my opinion (yes I know she's socially awkward etc, etc... but there is a point where I think it becomes a little cruel to never address the issue with either of them). I agree. She should have addresses what she feels, I think btw that she doesn't exactly know what she feels and who she is attracted to. She wa starting with Nathan, then everything went downhill and now I think she will get closer to Duke for a lot of reasons. The only thing I don't want to see is her sleeping with him, because that would be OOC for me and also forced imo. Not to mention that fixing things with Nathan would be almost impossible. This is the story of my fangirl life. I always fall for the rejected... anyway I think Audrey and Nathan are perfect together, but what I want to see is a balanced relationship where the two of them love each other and not just one of them being like a puppy and do whatever the other wants. You are very welcome and it's the safe place to be protective of #hisfacethough. killabeez

I worry about Nathan too, but that's not the main reason I don't want Duke and Audrey together like that. I don't think they would work in a relationship. I can't even see Duke IN a relationship, he was married and he didn't seem to care about that. Most times they fight are because they have different opinion about lifestyle. In the farmer episode Duke was a little bit mad because he wouldn't work if he had only 46 days to live. In the first season they argued a lot because of this too.

Well, I'm going to say that I'm first to jump into the show will be ruined~ boat. It won't be 100% ruined, but it will definitely tain my love and my views. I have never been a fan of triangles so having this ot3 with very clear roles where it was nathan/Audrey & Duke made the show very enjoyable for me. I had this amazing friendship based on unharmful flirting and bickering between Duke and Audrey and this obvious and heavy romantic tension between Nathan and Audrey and I felt relieved because i didn't have to worry about ship wars and IS MY OTP GOING TO BE RUINED OMG because they basically set up their relationships from the get go and that's how it went for 2 seasons. And now there's this whole mess going on in Audrey's head, when she's in love with Nathan but pushing him away and turning to Duke when it had been the other way around (Audrey always turning to Nathan and blowing Duke off), so I'm freaked out. I'm worried about my ot3 being ruined. This isn't Chris or Jess, it's a person that is a huge part of the show and the interactions and someone I never wanted to be a third wheel. And in the end that's how it's going to be. Nathan and Audrey in love and together, and Duke possibly in love with Audrey left to the sidelines to tend to his wounds and having to make do with another girl and the tension between them will be forever there. Anyway, too long a post and i'm getting off the soap box, but that's basically how I feel. I love my OT3 but the way their roles were set up from the beginning

I just cannot handle the idea of Duke and Audrey as a couple. I don't like it one teensy weensy bit. I am okay with 0% of the idea. You get where I'm going with this.

Just rewatched Ball and Chain and it looked under a complete different light for me knowing what we know now.
First Nathan and Duke relationship. It's probably the first episode where their friendship was on the mend. What I saw was how much they do care for each other and how much issues Nathan had in trusting someone who had let him down in the past.
Then Audrey/Duke. I think at this point, Duke might have some feelings for her, while for Audrey he was just a friend...it's always been one sided I think.
What about Nathan and his fatherly attitude? I wonder if there is any connection between that episode and what we are seeing now. All ths speculations we have been doing about the Colorado Kid's father. Is that any chance that episose was foreshadowing?
Ok ok I know..speculating too much. LOL!

Ooohhhh you may be on to something. If it IS foreshadowing I'll have to send the writers some serious congrats letter
