I just have to squee a little about the end of 3.07 and the promo for 3.08, and this seems like the place to do it. First of all, can we please talk about how the shot of Nathan lying on the ground with Audrey cradling his face and Duke with his hands all over him is pretty much ALL MY FANTASIES COME TRUE? Except for the part where Nathan is (Temporarily!) dead, of course. Alive would have been better. But I am not proud! I'll take it! *flails again over Duke's hand placement*
And then, homg, Duke GLARING at Tommy, and then the promo where he goes all avenging Slayer, and Audrey saying that Moira has no idea what she is—I got so many goosebumps. If this episode doesn't give me all the GET-YOUR-HANDS-OFF-OUR-NATHAN OT3 feels in the world, I'm going to be so disappointed. There is pretty much nothing that makes me happier than the idea of Audrey and Duke crazy defensive and protective of Nathan (and desperate to save him) together. PLEASE, Show, can we have some more? I need it.
I cannot get over Audrey's FACE and Duke's frantic run and his hands and his "WHAT THE FUCK" glare at Tommy. Even with things so tense between all of them, Nathan is THEIRS and god help anyone who tries to take him away.
In conclusion, <3 <3 <3 Long live the OT3!

Ooohhhh you may be on to something. If it IS foreshadowing I'll have to send the writers some serious congrats letter Oh we totally should send them that letter! RE Killabeez ALL MY FANTASIES COME TRUE? Mine too. If this episode doesn't give me all the GET-YOUR-HANDS-OFF-OUR-NATHAN OT3 feels in the world, I'm going to be so disappointed. It will in the new sneak peak (which I can't see but has been described over TUMBLR) Duke calls Nathan "my friend" and Audrey will do everything to bring him back. OMG OMG THOSE THREE! There is pretty much nothing that makes me happier than the idea of Audrey and Duke crazy defensive and protective of Nathan (and desperate to save him) together. PLEASE, Show, can we have some more? I need it. YES THIS! I am all for NAUDREY, but Duke/Nathan friendship is something I ship as much as Nathan/Audrey. Even with things so tense between all of them, Nathan is THEIRS and god help anyone who tries to take him away. Kill them all! Don't touch their and our boy. |

A couple other things (non-timeline-related) about the screen shot that I posted here: ic.pics.livejournal.com/killabeez/973880/25857/25857_original.jpgI found the article interesting in that it talks about the three bright stars that make up Orion's belt, and the fact that these are called the "Three Kings" and the "Three Sisters" in different cultures. Obviously, I think these are Audrey, Nathan, and Duke! There is also mention of the four stars that surround the main three, and that make up the points of the constellation. |

They almost seem to stand outside the whole thing. I like your idea about Agent Howard. If the Chief and the Rev are opposing forces (Troubled and Not Troubled), then who is Agent Howard's opposite? The Bolt Gun Killer? Order and Chaos? |

Just found this when I was looking for a fic post. An OT3 snippet I wrote a while ago for ixchell55. Hope someone enjoys.  * * * Duke Crocker's first conscious thought was, I'm dying. The pain in his head swelled with slow, ominous determination as he swam up through the haze of sleep, like some vindictive bastard had their hand on the volume button and was dialing it up to eleven. His second thought was, Please, God, let me die soon. That one, though, barely had time to take hold, because Nathan's voice cut it short. "What the hell?" Duke froze. He performed a hasty, panicked, somewhat foggy systems check. He was in his own bed, so there was that, at least. He could feel the slight rocking of his boat, and smell the salt air. Judging by the nuclear glow of the sun stabbing through his eyelids, it was well past ten. He was, and this was unavoidable fact, naked as the day he was born. "This is not happening," Nathan murmured. Was it Duke's imagination, or did Nate sound a little panicked, too? Duke swallowed. He tried to remember something, anything, about the night before. He came up with… shots. There had been shots involved. And some kind of bet? Nathan hadn't moved, either, but Duke could feel him staring, now. He knew Duke was awake. And if he still wasn't moving, that meant there was a reason he didn't want to get out of the bed, and there was only one reason Duke could think of that Nathan would willingly stay under the covers with him, which was—Nathan was naked, too. Either that, or he was paralyzed with horror. Or both. It was more temptation than Duke could take. Despite the knife-glare of sunlight, he cracked one eye open, and peeked. From the way Nathan was squinting at him, Duke guessed he wasn't the only one with an epic hangover. It did nothing to mitigate the glare of murderous rage on Nathan's face, nor hide the mirroring panic in his blue eyes. What the hell had happened last night? A shadow fell across the bed. "Hey, you're awake, finally." Audrey, freshly showered and smiling like the cat who got the cream, cast an amused glance between them. "So, who wants pancakes?" |
